Restoration of Worship Comes From Cherishing the Cross

NYSKC Conference participate from America, Korea, Australia

¡ãNYSKC Conference took place at Pacific University in Oregon on July 1-4 ¨ÏNYSKC
The ¡®NYSKC Conference Oregon 08¡¯ hosted by NYSKC World Mission concluded successfully. From July 1-4 the conference took place at Pacific University located in Oregon with the theme ¡®I¡¯ll cherish the old rugged cross¡¯ had participants came from America, Korea, Canada, Australia that ranged from children to old people.

The participants prepared with prayer before the official beginning offered opening service following passionate praise. Pastor Eun Mok Kim delivered the message with the main passage taken from John 19:17-22. ¡°We have gathered at this place to restore the true form of worship. The one who follows Jesus Christ and cherish the cross of the Lord is a true worshiper,¡± preached Pastor Kim.

After worship under officiate of Pastor Daniel Choe the communion took place. Participants at the communion which took place with odor of sanctity promised to have a new heart through the conference. Especially Dr. Phil Creighton who delivered the greetings said ¡°I welcome all the participants of NYSKC Conference. I wish that by the time you leave you will have become a stronger believer.¡±

Dawn prayer meeting took place every morning from the second day till the last day. Pastor Goshen Choi lead the prayer meeting for 3 days straight. Pastor Choi shared ¡®Cherish the bible, cross and live a life putting these as a priority and gain victory through worship.¡¯

NYSKC Conference held lectures and workshops for each track. The speakers conveyed the importance of restoration of worship to the participants with all their zeal. Children learned about restoration of worship through lecture and praising together.

The third evening was a special time. Layman, student and children participated in street evangelism. With a passionate heart from the lectures two people formed one group and went out here and there to evangelize. ¡°People were indifferent toward the gospel more than I thought and some even refused to listen. It was time that I could earnestly feel the need of evangelism,¡± shared the participants.

The closing service on the fourth day was lead by Pastor Jong Jin Pi. Participants felt pity coming to an end and promised to devote in their church with the commission of restoring worship. NYSKC World Mission concluded this year conference with ¡®I¡¯ll cherish the old rugged cross (John 19)¡¯ it¡¯s a beginning for the 2009 Western Conference.
