Scholarship Award Ceremony of Pastor’s Kid at Young Nak Presbyterian Church of LA

Young Nak Presbyterian Church encourages the immigrant pastor kid by delivering scholarship held the 5th Pastor’s Kid Scholarship award ceremony on July 14 delivered scholarship to 300 pastor kids. Yong Nak Presbyterian Church delivered $1,000 to each individual amounting to total of $300,000.
The students that received scholarships were chosen from 450 applicants. The scholarship committee shared before awarding the scholarship, “This year there were many applicants therefore we limited the select to one kid of full time Pastor from one church and those who were received scholarship in the previous year were excepted.”
Other than the scholarship award ceremony there was time of older PK (Pastor’s kids) encouraging the younger PK. Deacon Jung Jin Cho encouraged the younger PK with the message ‘Live as a PK’, “The most difficult memory that I have as a PK was when the elder of the church demand resignation to my dad who is the pastor since the church was not reviving and once my dad denied his demand then the elder strongly protested. There were many difficulties being a PK but there were blessings as well. Through the difficult period I was able to learn about love toward the parent and seeing and learning from my parent’s life I was able to meet God more deeply. Even if I am born again I wish to live as a PK. Even if you are in difficulty now after time passes blessings will follow.”
